Service Canada is part of the Canadian Government.  It provides simple, convenient access to Federal Government programs and services.

Service Canada delivers Federal Government Services to people in Canada through:

  • Service Canada Locations nationwide
  • Call Centres
  • Online

Service Canada was launched in 2005 to make it easier for people to access government services with a single click, call or visit.

Accessing Services

The Service Canada Website is the easiest way to access services.  There, you can find the services you need in two ways:

  • Searching for a Life Event, like having a baby or starting a business, or
  • Search for the service you need by subject, like education, employment or training.
In Person

You can find a Service Canada office near you by using the Service Canada Website.  You can search by post code, city or browse locations near you by province or territory.

By Phone

You can call Service Canada’s service centres. Numbers are usually toll free for most services.

To find the number for the service you need, visit the Service Canada Telephone Index page.
